Almost Perfect Zen

Almost Perfect Zen is me, Timothy Craft. I hate doing about mes. I never know what to say. I’m 20 years old and currently I lead two lives. One in Pittsburgh, PA where I live with my boyfriend and go to the University of Pittsburgh. And then I spend my summers and some holidays with my family in the town of my birth, good ‘ole Shirley, NY. Which is on Long Island. On Long Island, never “in.”

What else… I’m an Anthropology major. But i love writing. So blogging is just one of those excuses to write for me. And, in case you haven’t noticed, my blog doesn’t have much of a focus. But I think it’s a good reflection of me. I’m a Libra, plagued by indecision and the need for balance, which shows in my writing… I think.

I’m also a Gay Pagan. So I practice Witchcraft/Spiritualism and have sex with a man, you know, instead of a woman. At the same time I’m also a complete dork/geek, so I obsess over RPGs and things like that. Still, those facts don’t define me and I try not to be too stereotypical in any of those aspects. Like I’m not gonna flood you with rainbows, and I hardly talk about gay issues (unless forced to.) I tend to keep my spiritual beliefs to myself as well, simply because they are imperfect and are ever changing (not too mention slightly out there.)

I believe in ghosts, fighting for what you believe in, and pirate penguins. I love music, and when I’m not in class of procrastinating you can either find me dancing like a fool in the clubs or at the local show, or sitting on the couch watching a movie or curling up with a decent book.

Sam: I had a seizure at the law office where I work, and they told me their insurance wouldn’t cover me unless I wore preventative covering.
Andrew: What’s preventative covering?
Sam: The helmet I was wearing… Oh come on, that’s funny. That’s really funny, I mean I’m the only person who wears a helmet to work who isn’t putting out fires or racing for NASCAR. But what do you do, I can’t quit… their insurance is amazing, what do you do? You laugh. I’m not saying I don’t cry but in between I laugh and I realize how silly it is to take anything too seriously. Plus, I look forward to a good cry. It feels pretty good. “
